Hi! I’m Lorna.

I hold sound journeys and yin yoga classes using Alchemy crystal singing bowls and my voice to help you reconnect with yourself. As you lie down, listen and receive sound healing, I hope to help you feel nourished and offer some sacred time dedicated to yourself.

My Approach

I love creating space to slow down and soften. Often, the greatest gift we can give to ourselves is simply the time to stop and breathe. To remember that we are allowed to relax and surrender and that it is also a big part of the joy of being human. We don’t have to be ‘doing’ all the time.

Sound and yoga can help us unravel the tension and heaviness that life can sometimes bring. One of the transformative qualities of sound is that it can shift energy, just like yoga. Its vibrations can help release what needs to be released and expressed. That’s why every single person will have a different experience during and after a sound bath. There is no wrong or right. We all come into the space with different energies, emotions and life situations so your experience will be personal to you. My intention, always, is to bring you back to balance and the body’s natural state of equilibrium and peace. To feel much more like you after being immersed in sound.

a bit more about me

The first time I experienced yoga was in 2016 when I walked through the doors of a studio that taught the practice of Iyengar style yoga, a discipline focused on the alignment of the body using props. During the final resting pose of the class while on the floor under a blanket, I felt more at home in myself than I had for a very long time.

Yoga began to be the personal well-being practice I returned to again and again during a challenging time of my life when chronic illness took its toll on my family. I loved the idea of sharing this transformative practice and helping others find calm no matter what life might bring.

I completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2018 and in 2020, my 35 hour training in Yin and the Elements with Jamie Clark and The Yoga People. My passion is now offering experiences that combine stillness, space and much-needed time for people to settle into their bodies, unwind from the pressures of modern life and learn more about themselves every time they roll out their mat.

Sound healing has become a huge part of my wellbeing practice alongside yoga. I love exploring this modality and have personally felt so many benefits from it spiritually, emotionally and physically. It has been a doorway to the parts of myself I had forgotten, including my own voice. I have always been drawn to music and sound and this form of expression. In 2022, after my own journey with sound, I trained with Holly Husler to be able to offer sound healing to others, and in 2023, I trained with Harmonic Sounds to offer sound in a therapeutic setting. I now use sound in my yin classes and in sound baths to help guide you to a place of surrender in a safe environment. I use the healing vibrations of Alchemy crystal singing bowls and sometimes other instruments including chimes and strings. It is my biggest joy to play these beautiful instruments for people who need it.
